The Sacred Womb

The Sacred Womb Space is a multi-dimensional portal that exists simultaneously on a physical, emotional, and energetic level.

On a physical level, the Sacred Womb contains the uterus, and its associated structures, including the cervix, the fallopian tubes, the ovaries and the yoni (a Sanskrit term for the female genitals, including the vagina, and vulva). The womb space is also deeply held and interconnected through layers of fascia, which has been theorised to act as a spiritual interface between the physical and the energetic.

The Sacred Womb also exists beyond the physical, and you can still access, work with and heal the Womb when the uterus has been completely or partially removed, operated on, or when the uterus is experiencing or has experienced disease.

The Womb Space can be thought of as a vessel, often represented visually through vases or chalices, with water being the feminine element, associated with emotions and the unconscious part of our psyche. The Womb carries various forms of fluid, from the blood of menstruation to the amniotic sea of pregnancy and finally the intracellular fluids that nourish the cells of the womb.

Menstrual blood is a deeply sacred ritual of the body which extends beyond physical function. The blood represents a deeply spiritual and emotional release that occurs within the womb.

The Sacred Womb is naturally connected to the cycles of nature. The womb is a cyclical space, where, during the month, menstruating women experience four very distinct cycles. Just as the moon experiences different stages and nature experiences different seasons of the year. A period of growth and expansion is followed by a period of contraction and release. The Sacred Womb is deeply connected to these natural laws that govern our world. Each season of the year brings a different energy, a different purpose. Our menstrual cycle mirrors this effect.

In Tantra, different parts of the body are considered to hold different magnetic charges. In this tradition, the womb is seen as a magnet, drawing energy into itself, both at a physical level through penetration but also energetically.

Our Yonis are, therefore, highly receptive spaces. They can absorb and store experiences, especially those related to our femininity and sexuality, both at a physical level in the structures of the uterus, the fascia and the fluids, as well as at an emotional and energetic level. This means that she not only receives the highest and most healing energies from being penetrated, but also the most dense and traumatic energies of invasion, domination, exploitation and suppression.

The Womb Space holds more than just your experiences from this lifetime; it carries the imprint of all your ancestors' experiences. When a baby girl is born, she is born with all the eggs she will ever have already within her womb. This means those eggs began forming while she was still in her mother’s womb. As a mother grows her baby, she is also growing the cells that will one day become her grandchildren. This means you existed, at a cellular level, in the womb space of your great-grandmother, your grandmother, and your mother. At that level, you experienced everything they did: everything your great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother lived through.

Let that sink in for a moment.

All the positives. All the pain.

Years of oppression, abuse, disconnection from the body, sexual violence, persecution and religious programming are only a few of the wounds that can be found in the womb.

Through direct Womb Transmission, your Womb remembers both the power and the trauma of your feminine and masculine ancestral lines. Your daughter, and the cells that may one day become her womb space, already exist within you and have done so since you were born. These cells carry generations of experience: pain, yes, but also immense power.

The womb is a portal through which life enters the world. The Womb is the place where the spark of life creates the human body, where that infinite black matter is being pulled through the veil and woven into flesh, blood, and consciousness in service to the soul that is arriving in that body from the moment of conception.

Think of the Sheila na Gig holding open her vulva so that we may see the portal through which we arrived and will one day return.

The energy of the Womb at her core is the absolute zero point of existence when it comes to our lived experience of being in a human body on earth. It is truly a portal to other dimensions. What better place to connect with the spiritual planes than through the doorway that exists within our own bodies?

When we enter the Womb Space, as part of our awakening journey, this sparks the connection between the Womb and all the multidimensional aspects of ourselves. We become consciously identified with the full reality of what we are as beings.

Through clearing and healing the pain and trauma that the Sacred Womb holds, we create space in which beauty can flourish. We return to our cyclical nature and reclaim the power that lies within, handed down through generations. We act as cycle breakers, healing the feminine within our ancestry and at a collective level, within the world. Reclaiming our intuition, our wisdom and the sacred space that lies within our bodies.

As we heal the Womb, we heal the world.
